THE TECHNOLOGY JOINING WITH MEDICARD FOR ALL

We would like to introduce you to a new technology that provides ultra-secure universal access to real time portable medical records with or without the Internet.  We can store about 80 pages of core medical information on smart cards (microchip embedded credit cards).  The core information on the cards contain identity, demographics, insurance & disability benefits, allergies, blood type, doctor’s contact information, list of meds & vaccinations, growth & development, implants & devices, problem list, vital signs, procedures, past history, social history, family history, donor status, living will & code status.  The information on the cards can’t be accessed without:

1.       A provider card issued by a credentialing body,

2.   The physical possession of the patient’s card and

3.   Their access password(s).  This is available OFF-line.

ON-line the system exchanges medical records like the ATM banking system exchanges financial transactions.  A physician would insert their card into the Private Network (ATM), then the patient would insert their card and enter a password to give consent for release of medical records.  This would allow that one physician to review that one record only in the CIS (Clinical Information System) where the patient’s entire medical record is stored.  This allows medical record exchange in real time among any and all participating hospitals on the Private Network, just like the ATM banking system.

Adopting this technology can solve many of the current problems in health care:

1. Medical records are available at the point of care even if the power is off and the internet is down.

2. The data on the cards can be downloaded to insurance or disability forms so you only have to enter the data once.  

3. Registration in a clinic or ER is instantaneous.  Saving time just might save your life.

4. Your preferences are listed on the card so they can be easily honored.  Your privacy requests, your living will, code status, food allergies, etc.

5. Your identity is guaranteed which eliminates fraud and makes getting and prescribing controlled substances like narcotics easier for those that require them.

6. Detailed and complete histories can be obtained from the cards even if the patient can’t give the history themselves (DD, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, etc).

7. Medical record errors kill 98,000 Americans each year and adverse drug reactions kill another 100,000 each year and the ONLY way to solve this problem is to have everyone connected to the same system and have that system function in real time, like the ATM system. 

8. Over 85 % of patients with out-of-control blood pressure can be brought under control with our interactive systems and this would save the US government & other insurers about $120 Billion dollars per year in cardiovascular costs (Heart attacks, stroke, A Fib, renal failure).
